Showbiz News: Piolo Pascual, Nag-Charity Para Ma-Divert Ang Issue?

Sa halip na sagutin ang isyung "Bakla Siya" na ipinupukol ngayon kay Piolo Pascual dahil sa naging kinahinatnan ng relasyon nila ni KC Concepcion, nag-charity work na lamang ito courtesy of his mother network, ABS-CBN.

Star Magic has announced that they will make it their tradition to find ways to further extend help to various beneficiaries with the help of the Kapamilya talents. For 2011, they held three separate events, which benefited different institutions for the coming year.

Last November 13, Gerald Anderson’s all-star charity basketball tournament held at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig was held for the benefit of Cancer Warriors and Cottolengo Filim. This was followed by Piolo Pascual’s benefit concert A Night To Give Backat Zirkoh, Morato on November 20. The four chosen charities that were given grants from the concert were Elsie Gaches, Reception and Study Center for Children, Sanctuary Center, and Sagip Kapamilya. This was culminated by a feeding program for 300 undernourished children in Teresa Heights, Fairview last December 2 which was also led by Piolo Pascual and attended by Sam Milby as well as other Star Magic talents.

During the turnover presentation held last December 8 at the ABS-CBN compound, Piolo Pascual expressed his gratitude for all the other celebrities who volunteered their time and effort for his fundraising event which was hosted by Maja Salvador and John Lapus. “It was a special night because all of the artists that performed, they had no charge, no talent fee, they just came to perform. This was the first time that we did an outreach concert because we realized that most of the artists in Star Magic are performers of course, and most of the artists they do ASAP, they do other talk shows, they do corporate shows and we thought that since we an arm of ABS-CBN, we just thought of giving back kasi alam naman natin na busing-busy ang mga artista ng Star Magic. But it’s another thing to do something for the community so we thought of this along with Mr. M (Johnny Manahgan) and Tita Mariole (Alberto). We’re so blessed because we got them to perform for free and also all the people who came were sponsors and friends who enjoyed the night during the jamming sessions,” he shared.

The talented hunk also shared that he wants to make the fundraising concert an annual event with the support of other celebrities and various sponsors. He thanked Star Magic talents Jed Madela, Richard Poon, Yeng Constantino, Jovit Baldovino, Xian Lim, Marcelito Pomoy, Star Power girls, and Young JV for their performances. “These are varied talents and this is not a one shot thing. What we want to do is to be able to give back to the community every year through your support. With the support of our ticket buyers and sponsors we hope to be able to do this every year so that a lot of disadvantaged or handicapped kids,” he adds. The turnover program was hosted by Megan Young and Nikki Valdez. Also present during the turnover ceremony were Kapamilya stars Sam Milby, Julia Montes, Enchong Dee, and Robi Domingo.

  1. what Piolo did is very honorable, what else he can say or do! just focus to better things than dwelling to what lady Gabby did. the damaged is done.. He can't change what the x-GF did! Also, he really don't need to explain or justify what happen that's between Piolo & Lady Gabby's personal business. He might be a public person but he can still keep his personal business. focusing to a negative things is not productive or healthy,, live & learn from mistake. life goes on.... I hope & pray for him & his family.
