Fans are actually confused to where the Book 1 ended and the Book 2 started in the tv adaptation. Martha Cecilia's Kristine series in print says that Book 1 is the love story of Marco and Emerald and the Book 2 was that of Jasmine and Nathaniel.
Kristine adaptation on tv was the talk of everybody from all walks of life. Avid readers expressed their disappointments as tv adaptation totally dismissed the book. Violent reactions spreaded the internet like wildfire.
The hype however made KS more famous. Bad publicity is still a publicity and the show benefited from it.
Truth is, it is the love of Martha Cecilia's thousands of loyal readers scattered in the country and abroad made the show a success. Even if they loathe the idea of murdering KS beloved characters, they still have to support the show for their favorite writer's sake. With this, MC and her publisher are extremely grateful.
