Since magkasama ang dalawang magagaling na actor ng henerasyon ngayon, hindi maiwasang maikumpara sina Piolo at Jericho.
Ano naman ang masasabi ni Piolo sa umano'y kumpetisyon sa pagitan nila ni Echo?
“We’ve always wanted to work with each other not to compete with each other but to really hang-out and not naman to challenge each other. We’re just so excited because we were given the chance to work together. We have been in the business for more than 10 years, we started almost the same time so it’s refreshing to be working with somebody na kapatid mo, na kakilala mo na kaibigan mo na kumortable kang kasama.
“Its inevitable naman eh ‘di ba pero I don’t think there is any point of doing that because as far as I’m concerned magkaiba naman kami ng atake, magkaiba kami ng pinanggalingan at mataas ang respeto ko sa kanya bilang artista dahil alam ko ang pagmamahal niya sa craft niya, alam ko yung passion niya sa acting at di ko matatawaran yun.”
Sinabi din ni Piolo na wala naman point kung makikipag-kompetensya siya sa kaibigan. “Wala! I don’t see any point of doing that hindi naman na kami bata para magtagisan ‘di ba? There was also a time that we won an award together. He won for Pacquiao (the movie)and me for Don’t Give Up on Us so hindi na kailangang maglaban.”

“It’s hard to say that you want to bank on the casting and bank on the concept but I should say its one of its kind because ngayon lang siya ita-tackle sa primetime TV and it’s a rather sensitive topic but epic in a way na when ABS (CBN)naman mounts a soap opera its always grand, its always big, its always major so ako just to be a part of this epic show is a privilege already and I’m excited because it’s the first time I’m doing a role na maraming dimension and character kaya its really overwhelming,” pagbabahagi ng actor.
“It talks about fathers, father to son. And from my perspective, from my point of view, my story, my conflict, I’m a priest who gets into a relationship with his sister so medyo delikado talaga siya kaya nakakatakot then yung adoptive parents niya becomes his, I don’t wanna say kalaban but at first they are his ally, his father gets into politics at pag nagsama ang politics at religion nakakatakot, so yun.” Dagdag pa nito.
