Derek Ramsay surprisingly had no qualms about doing butt exposure when the opportunity presented itself while shooting an intimate scene with Anne Curtis for their latest movie under Star Cinema and Viva Films. “May konting butt exposure. It’s my first time, yeah. I don’t know [kung paano ako napapayag]. It’s not in my personality. Hindi ko alam na magagawa ko yun kasi ‘di naman planado eh. But it was in the theme. It seems like it’s needed. Napakaganda ng mga kinunan ni Direk Ruel (Bayani) na bed scenesnamin ni Anne,” said the dashing actor in a phone interview.
Although it was his first time to do such a daring scene, Derek shared that he was glad he did it after seeing his shots with Anne. “During the scene, they were requiring me to put it down a little lower kasi medyo sensual yung scene. On the spot I was like... You know what, it doesn’t look malaswa. It was done really well. Pumayag naman ako. Hindi naman buongbuttocks. Siguro a quarter lang yung ipinakita ko.”
With all the intimate scenes that he did with Anne in the film, Derek admitted that they became closer as friends. “We were friends before, but we became better friends now. Because in every scene naghahalikan kami. We always laugh and joke about it with people on the set. Grabe, ibang level na ang friendship namin.”
However, he was quick to deny the possibility of developing romantic feelings for Anne who used to be his huge crush in the past. “Yeah, [binalak ko siya ligawan noon]. Pero matagal na yun. Magtatawanan lang siguro kami ni Anne tungkol dun. Once you’ve watched the film, you’d probably see that Anne and I are so comfortable in front of the camera. The chemistry is really there.”
