MANILA, Philippines - Queen of All Media Kris Aquino believes that she could have been a Senate president if she had chosen a different path in life.
In her morning show "KrisTV", Aquino said she would have gone into public service if she had not chosen showbiz.
"Siguro kung di lang talaga (sa showbiz) the only thing I could see myself doing, ang nakita ko is public service talaga. At this point, kung hindi po ako nag-artista I'm of age I'd probably be senator, Senate president, at talagang inagawan si [Senate president Juan Ponce Enrile]," Aquino said.
Aside from politics, Aquino said that she could also be a lawyer. She said that it was her parents' dream for her to be a lawyer.
"The only other thing I could think of would be politics. Kung hindi talaga ako nag-celebrity after college, I would have taken la kasi yun ang frustrations ng mom and dad ko. My dad actually finished it but didn't take the Bar. My mom took 2 years of law and then got married," she said. Kris' parents are the late senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. and the late president Cory Aquino.
"So baka ako ang naging lawyer talaga o baka naging judge ako. Bakit ba? Bongga yon di ba? At by now kung ako ang naging judge annulled na ako," she added.
Aquino, the youngest sister of President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, earlier said she wants to join politics after the term of her brother expires in 2016.
The Queen of All Media said she is planning to run for governor of her home province, Tarlac.
