Wondering how the new set of winners for Bb. Pilipinas 2014 were chosen? Here's how.
After the successful coronation night of Bb. Pilipinas 2014 on Sunday, March 30 at Smart Araneta Coliseum, one of the 11 judges revealed an interesting photo on social media. On hisInstagram account, Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara posted a photo revealing thecriteria for judging the Bb. Pilipinas 2014.
The photo quickly drew questions from netizens who were surprised about the breakdown of the criteria. According to the photo, the Board of Judges should base their scores from the following:
Beauty of Face – 50%
Beauty of Figure – 30%
Intelligence – 10%
Poise & Personality – 10%
Most netizens were stunned that the Intelligence factor weighs only 10%. Some also questioned that Poise & Personality should also be given a higher percentage.
An Instagram handler with the username clarissevirgino said,
This doesn't seem like a fair rubric. Intelligence for only 10%?
Meanwhile, another handler xandronieto lauded the senator for posting the photo.
Its nice that these criteria for judging have been posted. It's not something that's explained in the coronation night... Something has to be modified here, i guess.
At the end of the prestigious event, North Cotabato pride Mary Jean Lastimosa was crowned as the Bb Pilipinas Universe 2014 and will represent Philippines to the much anticipated Miss Universe pageant.
