The ultimate leading man who has spotless hunky reputation, Derek Ramsey, already bid goodbye to Gabby Lopez, Chairman of ABS-CBN. The star of No Other Woman and Praybeyt Benjamin, two of the highest grossing Filipino films in history, is no longer a Kapamilya. Derek already decided not to renew his contract with channel 2 and pursued plans to transfer to TV 5.
He was offered a very tempting and overwhelming talent fee by MVP, a whooping hundreds of millions of pesos, guaranteed with or without projects. And that is just the front piece of the cake! Along with his massive tf, there is also a very profitable business partnership laid out for his family's owned business. Who can resist such offer? Not Derek, of course!
It was said that when his contract with ABS expired, Derek waited for a counter offer and when the offer arrived, it was not enough to match with that of TV 5.
