Gretchen Barretto admits that she is preparing so much for the new role she will be taking on in the upcoming series Alta and that preparation comes with getting to know her co-stars. She says she is now very close with KC Concepcion. “Ewan ko kung bakit pero everytime KC and I are togetherparang magnet na we are always together at saka siyempre si Diet. Si Angelica kasi medyo shy pa,medyo reserved pa e 'di naman natin mapilit kasi ganun yung personality niya. Samantalang kami niKC e talaga naman magulo, maarte at ma-kikay.”
When asked if she and KC are at the stage of their friendship where they openly share stories about what’s happening in each other’s life, she confesses, “Parang ganun, huwag niyo na lang ako tanungin dahil madaldal ako,” she says laughingly. “At alam niyo naman baka makwento ko at mahirap na, huwag nating pangunahan.”
Greta is still very close with Bea Alonzo, her former co-star in Magkaribal and when asked if KC is her new ‘baby sister,” which she also fondly calls Bea, she says, “Ay naku wala akong pinapalitan sa buhay ko, nagdadagdag ako, wala akong pinapalitan. I feel that my bonding with Bea she’s like my sister.” Gretchen spills though that Bea fails to communicate with her. “(Pero) si Bea hindi ako tinetext, hindi sinasagot ang calls ko pero mahal ko pa rin siya,” she says with a smile.
However, Gretchen stresses Bea will always have a special spot in her heart and the two actresses should not be compared with each other. “Iba yung relationship ko with Bea, iba rin naman siguro yung kay KC. Pwede namang dumagdag ng dumagdag, hindi naman kailangang mag-delete.”
