A memorable finale awaits the viewers of the phenomenal primetime series on ABS-CBN, Imortal, as it enters its final three weeks on air.
The Angel Locsin-John Lloyd Cruz series has ignited local primetime viewing with its intense dramatic scenes, heart-thumping action moves from its stars and unexpected twists for more than half a year. As it approaches its conclusion, the drama gets deeper, the action gets even more extreme and the plot gets more powerful.
Viewers are in for a non-cliché ending as the highly-regarded director of Imortal, Richard Somes and action director Lester Pimentel did not go with the usual way of how primetime programs are concluded.
John Lloyd expressed in an interview that being part of Imortal has been quite a journey for him. “Nung maguumpisa pa lang, naisip ko, naku ngayon lang ako papasok sa ganitong genre. I said yes to this project because I feel that it’s a way of giving back to my audience,” he mentioned. He added, “My role in Imortal is very memorable. Ngayon lang ako nag-leather jacket sa Maynila ha ha ha.”
Angel on the other hand considers being part of Imortal a blessing. “Blessing po talaga ang maging bahagi ng ganitong klaseng proyekto. Nalulungkot ako siyempre sa pagtatapos pero lahat kami ay masaya sa tagumpay na nakamit ng show. Lubos po ang pasasalamat ko sa lahat ng tumutok sa kwento, salamat po,” Angel shared.
Being constantly included in the top five most watched programs nationwide according to Kantar Media/TNS since it premiered, Imortal took entertainment to a higher notch as it provided its viewers with a website (http://imortal.abs-cbn.com) which features webisodes (“Anino’t Panaginip”) that reveal the hidden chapters of the series, an online game called “Pangil” and an art contest tagged as “Likhang Imortal.” The said website has already reached more than 12 million hits and still counting.
The final episodes of Imortal will zero in on Lia (Angel) and Mateo’s (John Lloyd) fight to keep their love safe and at the same time look after the welfare of the vampires and werewolves alike. With Lia’s memory of Mateo restored, their love blooms into marriage. With their successful love story comes their hope of achieving peace for their kind. Thinking that all is well, a new prophecy will hinder Lia and Mateo from attaining the peace that they want. How will the two battle the evil? What does the new prophecy speak about?
Hold on tight and get ready for more revelations in the last three weeks of Imortal, aired weeknights after Mara Clara.
